movin' on up

My very first blog post showed my 'work space' or lack there of (see below). Well, I've found a solution, thanks to Ikea! It's my plan to get this desk soon. (as long as there's no unexpected bills this month) The main photo indicates the color; the inset photo is the actual length and underneath storage. Going from a 36"x36" table to an 80"x24" space. Wooohooo!! I'll be able to use one end for my computer and printer; and the rest of that glorious space for spreading out my work.

Please share photos of your workspace!!

Black Leaf Earrings

Still processing photos of unlisted merchandise...(I need more hours in the day!)...my goal is to get some items listed by this weekend.

What do you do on rainy days

I took photos of new merchandise that I'll be adding to my Etsy shop soon. Here's one of many.

A little off center

I tried something a little different....a longer necklace. The wire wrapped links are at different lengths which makes this piece asymmetrical and looks different depending where you turn it.

Been busy

I've been busy making new merchandise. About nine pairs of earrings, five necklaces and a few bracelets. Whew! and I still don't feel its enough for the upcoming Spring Fling. Here's a little sneak peek at one of my new creations.....I'm tempted to make a pair to keep. :)

Funky Finds - Spring Fling in Fort Worth, TX

The Funky Finds Spring Fling will be very first show. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I don't know what to expect, so this is going to be one big learning experience. It'll just get me ready for the next show, right? :) Good thing though, I'm not doing this show alone; my friend and mentor Lola Falk, who makes some fabulously cute handbags, will be there too. Please send me any pointers, suggestions or comments.

If you're in the DFW on April 25th, and are trying to find something fun to do; please come by.

And the work goes on

I browse various blogs of other, designers, artists, and crafters; and I get so jealous of how everything is somewhat tidy and organized. The other night as I was sitting at my table I took a snapshot to show you where my work happens. On a tiny 3ft by 3ft table that is supposed to be my dining room table. (dining these days happens on a tv tray at the sofa) Sure space is limited, but I manage. :)
